About the artwork:
During a New Year’s holiday trip to Orlando, Florida many years ago we escaped to the coast. The winter beach was deserted and this photo was taken while driving on the beach (something you can’t do in warmer weather…or on many other beaches).  I like to soften photos to give them a more painterly feel so I apply photoshop filters and some hand rendered strokes using digital brushes to emphasize or de-emphasize certain aspects. Most of this image is the photograph but the horizon line and cloud got some tweaking to make it look the way I remembered it. The camera doesn’t always do justice to the actual scene.
